EvoScoot electric scooter

The Bangalore based electric mobility startup, Evoride Motors, is about to make its mark on the market with the launch of its inaugural b2b e2W, EvoScoot. The upstart is looking to introduce a swappable weldless battery pack for which it has also submitted a patent.

Key highlights of the vehicle.

Removal battery  can be easily installed under the foot rest in the form of a briefcase just buy stepping.

Range can be customised by adding more batteries under the foot rest and under the seat.

In an interview with Mobility Outlook, Abishek Hosangady, CTO and Co-Founder of Evoride Motors, stated that the firm would be utilizing a weldless battery pack for the product. The cells are connected through a mechanical contact with the help of a copper busbar, and tension loaded metal input, he added.

The Tab Cooling technology has enabled the battery pack to reduce heat production by up to 30%, allowing for better efficiency. Moreover, he claims that with the weldless battery pack, the organization will be able to service the batteries on a cell level, amplifying its life span.

Moreover, several heavy machinery tasks that would normally be required during the manufacturing process of a typical battery pack will also be eliminated, resulting in cheaper battery manufacturing costs and increased production efficiency, he added.

Set to be released by the end of FY23, the e-scooter will be equipped with a 4.5kW motor powered by a 2.6kWh battery pack, delivering 250 Nm of torque, a claimed range of 75 kms, 140 kms, and 250 kms with single,
