PRANA in sanskrit means "Life giving force". It is one of the state of art sports bike which is manufactured in India.I bought this machine at price tag of 2 Lakhs in Coimbatore for my adventure rides and travel vlogs. I planted 10 plants in my farm , I got 25,000Rs discount on submitting photos of plants. It is available in white, green, red and black colours with catchy decals. I touched top speed of 110 KMPh with good riding comfort.
Grand variant is base variant and Elite is top variant which differ in only Range. Grand has 126 Km range , Elite has 225 kms range. It has four riding mode. In practice mode he reaches 45 KMph, Drive mode 123Kmph, Sport mode is aggressive with superb instant Torque and top speed is 123KMph. In reverse mode he moves 5Kmph in backwards for parking.
The bike has 165 kgs weight quite heavy vehicle , reverse mode is very useful to handle vehicle during parking. Tail section is sharp and cute. Regenerative braking facility is available for charging the bike during braking. Warranty is two years or 1 Lakh Kms which ever comes first. The instrument cluster has Speedometer, Trip meter, Tachometer, Battery charge display. Smart connectivity features are missing is a thumbs down for such high price tag.
The Prana is aggressive motorcycle with Sporty look. A powerful quad-LED projector headlamp shows the ways super bright. Sitting position gives stylish feel and the suspension is pretty smooth. I can go on long ride with no posture problem. It has power full Hub motor in rear wheel with 5.4 hp output is quite silent on running. The black alloy wheels goes well with build of the bike. Company claims the Li ion battery has 2000 charge cycles with charging time of 4.5 hrs.
The bike has dual disc brakes on front and single 240 mm disc unit at the rear. He got superb stopping power on touch of brakes. The bike sprints from a Zero to 60 kmph in 4 seconds . He reaches speeds of 80-90 kmph effortlessly.The performance is in par with 300cc bikes.
Side panels need improvement in build quality. Battery cover needs aesthetic improvement it can easily catch rust. Welding work on chassis is not clean . Non removable battery does not allow charging battery in home. The bike has self discharge issue when I leave the bike for 4 days unused. Technology wise the bike requires lot of improvement such as Touch screen,Smart connectivity, GPS capabilities. The side stand is very thin and makes bike to stand upright .Chances are there that bike may fall. After sales service and response is not quick. I strongly recommend this bike for youngsters. If the company make small improvements it will be top super bike in India.
