Murtas launches MX 1 and Mx 2

Murtas is a newly established electric bike manufacturer located in Pierrelatte, near Montélimar in France. The company is headed by Patrice Murtas, who was responsible for introducing the Super Soco brand to the French market in 2021.

Within just three months of its launch, Murtas has revealed two electric scooter models, the MX1 and MX2, which offer the same level of performance as 125cc combustion scooters but with different battery options. The MX2 model is suitable for city riding, with a flat seat and ample under-seat storage for commuting or short trips. It also features a high windscreen, LED lights, a top case holder, and a USB port.

The MX1 model is almost identical to the MX2, but it comes with only one battery pack, while the MX2 has two 5.76 kWh batteries that provide a range of 220 km. The charging time for both models is five hours.

Both the MX1 and MX2 models have an engine with a continuous output of 4 kW, a maximum power of 7 kW (equivalent to 9.5 hp), and 180 Nm of torque, which enables a top speed of 100 km/h. They also feature a telescopic fork, an adjustable rear shock absorber, and 16-inch and 14-inch wheels at the front and rear, respectively, with Michelin City Grip 2 tyres that are designed for city riding. The front and rear disc brakes with a CBS system are also included in both models. For more details, please visit the official Murtas website.
