The Komaki Ranger: A New Player in India's Electric Motorcycle Segment

As the craze for electric motorcycles continues to grow in India, more and more companies are introducing their products to meet the demand. One such company is Komaki Electric Vehicle Division, which recently launched its electric cruiser motorcycle, the Komaki Ranger, on January 26th of this year.

Since its launch, the Komaki Ranger has been getting a tremendous response from the public, thanks to its unique look, design, and impressive battery range and speed. In this article, we will take a closer look at the Komaki Ranger, its features, range, speed, price, and whether it is worth considering as your next electric motorcycle.

Design and Features

One of the first things that stand out about the Komaki Ranger is its unique and muscular design. The bike comes in a jet black color with chrome accents, which gives it a powerful and stylish look. The dual sound flame pipes and the rear protection guard add to the bike's overall appeal.

In terms of features, the Komaki Ranger offers plenty of storage space, which includes dual storage compartments to hold the bike's charger and other essentials. The electric cruiser also comes equipped with disc brakes at the front and rear, 17-inch tubeless tires, and telescopic suspension for a comfortable ride.

Battery Range, Power, and Speed

The Komaki Ranger is powered by a 4kW battery pack and a 4,000-watt BLDC electric motor. It offers four riding modes: Eco, City, Sports, and Super Sports. In Eco mode, the bike can reach speeds of up to 40 kilometers per hour, with a claimed battery range of up to 200 kilometers. In City mode, the top speed increases to 55 km/h, with a range of up to 160 km.

In Sports mode, the top speed can reach up to 65 km/h, with a range of 140-150 km. Finally, in Super Sports mode, the bike can reach a top speed of up to 95 km/h, with a range of 100-120 km. These are impressive figures for an electric motorcycle in this price range.

Price and Charging Time

The Komaki Ranger is priced at Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an affordable option in India's electric motorcycle segment. It takes more than four hours to fully charge the bike, and you can easily charge it at home.

Riding Experience and Verdict

The Komaki Ranger offers an enjoyable riding experience, especially at high speeds. The bike feels light and agile, and it handles well on empty roads and highways. However, it can feel slightly jerky at low speeds, and you need to be careful when riding over potholes.

Overall, the Komaki Ranger is a good option for anyone looking for an electric cruiser motorcycle with a unique design, good range, and impressive speed. While it may not be the most powerful or durable electric motorcycle on the market, it is certainly worth considering for those on a budget or for those who prioritize style and features over strength.
