Introducing the Future of Commuting: Liger X and X+ - The World's First Self-Balancing E-Scooters!"

Liger Mobility, a Mumbai-based technology start-up founded by alumni from the Indian Institute of Technology and Indian School of Business, has unveiled two electric scooters at the 2023 Auto Expo. The Liger X and Liger X+ are the world's first self-balancing electric scooters, patented and offering enhanced safety and comfort features. The scooters balance automatically at low speeds or when stationary, offering stability at higher speeds when the auto-balancing function goes into standby mode. The Liger X and X+ are 4G and GPS enabled, with an app allowing riders to view live location, ride history, battery charge and temperature, and receive online alerts of tow, accident and service reminders. The scooters come in an array of colours and have a strong body structure with LED lighting. Power is via a lithium-cooled, lithium-ion battery pack, with the Liger X offering a 60 km range and the Liger X+ up to 100 km, both commanding a top speed of 65 km/h. The battery is detachable on the Liger X, charging to an optimum in under 3 hours, while the Liger X+ has a non-detachable battery with charging facility in 4.5 hours. The company also offers a fast-charging battery pack for both models at an extra cost. The Liger X and Liger X+ have feet on the footboard for stress-free ride quality in heavy traffic conditions. Reverse ride is possible without any backpedaling, while learner mode with Learn2Ride with AutoBalancing allows new riders to learn the bike safely. The scooters are listed on the company website and will be open for bookings later in the year, with deliveries to commence from the end of 2023. The Liger X is likely to retail at around Rs 90,000 (post FAME subsidies), while the Liger X+ would be priced somewhat higher.
